This is without a doubt, my favorite tool at the moment. Basecamp is the ultimate project management tool with everything that you need to manage your clients, correspondence, milestone tracking, to-do lists, file sharing, content editing and much much more.
Multiple people can be added for each of your projects and the permissions for each user can be set up as needed. Their paid options are ‘unbranded’ meaning that you can wow your clientèle with a fantastic project management software that keeps them in the loop every step of the way.
Projects don’t fail from a lack of charts, graphs, stats, or reports, they fail from a lack of clear communication. Basecamp solves this problem by providing tools tailored to improve the communication between people working together on a project.
Basecamp manages to do exactly that. Staff within your company can collaborate on one or more projects and each action is documented in a helpful ‘Overview’ Screen. Able to cater for web designers, ad agencies, architects, study groups, associations, real estate agents, accountants and much more, Basecamp is an amazingly well built tool that seems to cater for everything you could need.

[…] incredible web applications that are awesome to use. I mean we’ve all heard of the likes of Basecamp and Clipmarks, but theres a host of other applications that need their fair share of the […]
Nice app.

I personally prefer Wrike. It’s email-friendly, it has gantt charts and allows better collaboration for cross-team projects. Give it a try: http://www.wrike.com. There is also a good article about basecamp and wrike: http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/134816/project_management_lite_basecamp_and_wrike.html
You can try ProjectOffice.net also- online project management application- it’s still in beta and is FREE
You can also try http://www.gtdagenda.com
A project management tool with some features from GTD, like tasks in contexts and Next Actions.
Hope you like it.
You can also try Manymoon, it’s free:
http://www.manymoon.com
With Manymoon you can:
* Managed private and shared To Do Lists and Projects.
* Upload documents and add them to tasks and projects.
* Integrate with Google Docs and Google Calendar.
* Automatically convert emails into tasks.
* Twitter-like feature to let people know what you are working on.
What about KommandCore?
Need your estimation - ’cause in my opinion it has more communication tools and more options for easy management, but despite its functionality, its even easier than Basecamp.
What do you think about KommandCore, then?
If ya’ll think Tiger Text is the best fake texts app, you are WRONG!!! This app actually tricks my girlfriend and parents into thinking they see my real texts. It’s at faketexts.com… sumthin like that…called FakeTexts though. Fuh real!!!
I used to use Basecamp, but my new company uses LiquidPlanner (http://www.liquidplanner.com) and I like that I can invite external clients to their project portals. It’s also easier to use with a more clear interface. Just my two cents.
Hyper Office is another great option. We’ve been using it for more than two years. See a review of Hyper Office at PC Mag.
I recommend iManageProject project management software. It’s basecamp style, very easy to use, but more affordable.
Hi,
Apollo is different: it does both project management and CRM. http://www.apollohq.com It has timers, Basecamp/Highrise import, cases&deals, calendar… all in a neat Ajax application!
Just my (biased) 2c :D
Bye,
Merc.
